Grade 9 Registration

Step 1 - Register for Eastside

Please complete the online form or print and complete the pdf form. If you do not live in the ESS bus area, you will have to print the form. Check out the resources available to help your prepare for grade 9.

Step 2 - Pick Courses for Grade 9

Students need to pick 8 courses for grade 9. Here is a poster listing the choices. Complete the google form as an intial step in course selection. We will use these choices to build a balanced schedule for grade 9. Course descriptions are found in our Eastside Course Calendar.

Step 3 (Optional)- Grade 9 Foundations?

Eastside is an International Baccalaureate(IB) World School and we offer a grade 9 & 10 Foundations Program to help you prepare for the IB Diploma Program. If you would like to join Foundations and IB, please join the google classroom (class code - mb636br) and complete the assignment posted by Feb 1 to guarantee a spot in the program. Here is a copy of the assignment if you are not able to access the classroom. Email our IB Coordninator with your questions: Mary Reuvekamp mreuvekamp@apps.hpedsb.on.ca

Step 4 (Optional)- Do you need busing?

Please apply online for your triboard busing to Eastside for Sept 2023. If you do not live in our busing area you will have to complete a pdf form.

Step 5 - Join our Class of 2027 Google Classroom

Your Guidance Teachers will connect with you through the Guidance google classroom(Code:cuflide). We will post information and reminders in this classroom for the next 4.5 years to help you throughout high school and prepare for post-secondary. If you would like to start collecting your volunteer hours during summer 2023 - please record them in the google form or pdf. Students who complete the 40 hours of Community Service during grade 9, will receive the Community Outreach Award.
