Dr. Rochelle Franzen has been educating children and adults for the past 25 years. She earned her doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction where she focused on Brain-Based Learning and Multiple Intelligences. Dr. Franzen attempts to tap the potential of learners by attempting to energize the learning environment and creating a multi-dimensional learning experience for all students.

In addition to teaching her fourth grade students, Dr. Franzen has taught for Presentation College and has presented to faculty and administrators at such institutions as St. Mary's University, The University of South Dakota, Minnesota State University, The Bureau of Education and Research, and Minnesota Career College Association. Her published works include; The Secret Garden of Talents, Nurturing the Multiple Intelligences Through the Use of Drama, and a variety of other publications that encourage the use of multiple intelligences in learning. In her spare time she enjoys directing dramas and musicals, and has a great passion for traveling.

Native to Fairmont, she continues to enjoy making her home here with her husband, daughter and their black labrador dog Buddy Barkley.
