We are thrilled to announce our I Love to Read Month festivities. We know how important it is to get excited about reading, and we have some great activities this month to excite your reader! We are having 4 school spirit days in February!

February 1 School-wide DEAR: Drop Everything And Read TIME

Minnesota Pride Day- ‘sport’ something to show your Minnesota Pride or wear a flannel!

February 5-6 Book Fair, CP STEM main entrance, sponsored by PTO

February 15 Glow Stick Reading, wear PJ’s and read with glow sticks!

February 21 Guest authors Trisha Speed Shaskan and Stephen Shaskan visit Cedar Park to visit classes (author visit sponsored by PTO); Mary Bleckwehl visits kindergarten

I Love to Read Night Celebration, 6:30-8pm (night made possible with Title I Funds)

New This Year….We are collecting items for birthday bags to donate to Rosemount Family Resources. Items needed: paper plates*, napkins*, cups*, invitations*, party favors*, balloons, candles; (*must be in groups of eight)

February 22 Buddy Day, bring a stuffed animal to read to! (Must fit in your backpack!)

March 1 CP Pride Day, wear your favorite CP shirt to school!
