The Highland Site Council advises, recommends and makes decisions in various areas that affect the operation of Highland. Staffing patterns, budgeting, grouping patterns, class size, and special programs are just a few of the areas in which the council gives input to our school. Fundraising and fundraising expenditures are other examples of the council's decision making authority. The Site Council refers to the biennial results of the Highland parent survery (2017-18 results) when prioritizing expenditures.
The Highland Site Council consists of four parents/community members, four staff members, the parent volunteer coordinator and the principal of Highland. Members are elected for one or two year terms. We encourage any parent or community member living in the Highland attendance area to apply.
