2016-2017 School Year
Testing is used in schools to measure student achievement. State tests are given to students in a district once a year, based on their grade level and subject area. These state tests give educators an idea of how well their students are learning the concepts presented to them in the classroom.
Beginning March 6, students in grades 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 will be taking the Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment (MCA) Reading and Math tests. 5th and 8th graders will also be taking the MCA Science test. 10th graders will take the Reading test and 11th graders will take the Math test. Students have been preparing for these tests in their classrooms. Results will be shared with you in late August or early September. The testing schedule for Dakota Ridge can be viewed on our home page under the Resources for Families tab >Testing. Please avoid having your child miss school on his/her testing days.
