Welcome to Dakota Ridge School. Dakota Ridge is a school for students with special education services in district 196 who face social, emotional, and behavioral challenges. Dakota Ridge provides a safe place for students to work on social, emotional and behavioral regulation and increase pro-social behavior.

Dakota Ridge uses district curriculum and has a variety of specialists to support student success. Based on each student’s level of necessary support, staff at Dakota Ridge collaborates with schools in the district to develop programming for each student.

PyeongChang, Korea's Olympic Games is offering the world of winter sports New Horizons - a legacy of new growth and new potential never seen before. With its strategic position in Asia and its access to a young and fast growing youth market, the Winter Games will expose new generations of athletes to the power of winter sports.

Please join us in celebrating these 2018 Winter Olympics by encouraging your student to watch the sport or country their classroom has chosen to follow. Students may be working on projects relating to the Olympics during class time and incorporating these projects as part of their regular curriculum. Posters are being displayed in the cafeteria and teacher's may even choose to have students track medal counts for various countries. Click here for a link to the official Olympic Schedule.

All Parents & Guardians - An Informative Presentation

"It’s Complicated: Children, Social Media, and Mental Health"

When: March 20 | 6-7:30 p.m. / Where: Henry Sibley High School Cafeteria / Presenter: Erin Walsh, M.A.

In this interactive and energizing presentation, Erin Walsh will use brain science, stories, and humor to explain how technology is changing the ways that children grow up, socialize, and forge their identities. Erin will help parents, guardians and educators understand the key ingredients for wellness in the digital age and provide practical tools and strategies that help children and youth build on their strengths.
