Using choice boards is a simple way to introduce blended learning to your younger students. When we rolled out Schoology to our campuses, I met with all of the Pre-K and Kinder teachers and we created a choice board for them to post in their Schoology classroom. We kept the them simple for our younger learners and included only 6 choices at the most.
This is an example of a literacy choice board. For this setup, I give students five choices. Three of those choices almost never change. (epic, Teach Your Monster, and Boom Cards) I try to update the other two choices every week. (themed read alouds, sight words or phonics skill songs)
I have made some templates to get you started. I suggest you make a folder for choice boards on your Google Drive to easily access and update.
Click on the buttons to the left to access the templates. You can create copies of each choice board and edit them to suit your needs.
