All senior students are REQUIRED to participate in all two practices in order to participate in the graduation ceremony--no exceptions. Plan jobs, military enlistment activities, and college summer school classes accordingly.

Students must present a current DHS student ID or valid TX Drivers’ license with a picture to pick up tickets. Students will be required to sign for their tickets. Students MAY NOT pick up tickets for other students.
Lottery Ticket Winners Ticket Pick-Up: Thursday, May 21, 2025 9:00 - 11:00 AM
Students who won the additional tickets will pick up their tickets from the competition gym foyer
Students must present a valid TX Drivers’ license with a picture or a current DHS student picture ID to pick up tickets. Students will be required to sign for their tickets. Students MAY NOT pick up tickets for other students.
GRADUATION DAY, Thursday, May 21, 2026 7:00 PM
REPORT to Competition Gym promptly at 5:30 PM and enter through the gym foyer
Pick up name card
Be seated in bleachers in competition gym
Review expectations for behavior
Review program order
Collect personal items
Dress—ties, caps, chords, etc.
Line up by rows
Line up begins at 6:20 PM
Procession to Stadium begins at 6:40 PM
Ceremony begins promptly at 7:00 PM
Students MUST BE ON TIME in order to participate in the ceremony. If you do not report to the DHS gym by 5:30, you will not participate in the ceremony. The gym will open at 5:00 PM.
EXPECTATIONS FOR STUDENT DRESS for Graduation Ceremony
Hair neatly trimmed and groomed; Natural hair color
No hats or other head coverings
Tattoos must be covered
White dress shirt and dark tie
Black/Dark Blue dress slacks
Dark colored dress shoes (No flip-flops, tennis shoes, shorts, t-shirts, jeans)
Dress or Skirt/blouse—dress/skirt hem shall not hang beneath the graduation robe hem
Graduation gown and cap (REQUIRED)—no decorations on caps
All stoles and cords must represent a Dickinson High School or a National school organization such as National Honor Society. Stoles and/or cords purchased on the internet may not be worn at graduation.
