ELEMENTARY SCHOOL WALKS - WEDNESDAY APRIL 30TH

• BETHEL / AT ALLEN or PATRIOTS / ROCKY RIVER

• PERMISSION SLIPS TO MS. MOODY IN ROOM 208

  • PERMISSION SLIPS CAN BE FOUND IN THE MAIN OFFICE OR ROOM 208

  • FIRST COME FIRST SERVE. BUS SPACE IS LIMITED. NO SELF-TRANSPORT

• DISMISSED FROM 1ST BLOCK TO THE NORSE COVE

• RETURN TO SCHOOL FOR END OF 2ND BLOCK

• CAPS AND GOWNS MUST BE WORN FOR THIS EVENT

• STUDENTS WHO OWE FEES WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO ATTEND

SCHOOL GRAD PRACTICE - FRIDAY MAY 9TH 

• STUDENTS WILL BE DISMISSED FROM 1ST BLOCK TO THE GYM

• STUDENTS WILL GO TO 3RD BLOCK AFTER REHEARSAL IS COMPLETED

• STUDENTS MUST WEAR THEIR GRADUATION ATTIRE + CAP AND GOWN 

  • BRING SOMETHING TO CHANGE INTO AFTER

• STUDENTS WILL RECEIVE GPA CORDS AT THIS TIME, IF ELIGIBLE

SENIOR PICNIC - FRIDAY MAY 9TH 

• STUDENTS WILL BE DISMISSED FROM 4TH BLOCK TO THE STADIUM

• FOOD, COLD DRINKS, LAWN GAMES, MUSIC, GENERAL FUN

• WEAR LIGHT, COMFY CLOTHING, BRING A WATER BOTTLE

• YEARBOOKS WILL BE DISTRIBUTED TO SENIORS AT THIS TIME

ARENA GRAD PRACTICE - WEDNESDAY MAY 21ST

• 2:00 PM…DO NOT BE LATE

  • STUDENTS MUST PROVIDE THEIR OWN TRANSPORTATION 

• YOU DO NOT NEED TO WEAR YOUR GRADUATION ATTIRE

• STUDENTS WILL RECEIVE GRADUATION TICKETS (10 PER STUDENT) AND DETAILS ABOUT TRANSCRIPTS, FEES, ETC. AT THIS TIME

• STUDENTS WHO OWE FEES WILL NOT RECEIVE GRADUATION TICKETS

GRADUATION - FRIDAY MAY 23RD

• YOU ARRIVE AT 6PM

• CEREMONY STARTS AT 7:30PM (APPROXIMATELY 1 HOUR)

• GRADUATION ATTIRE, CAPS AND GOWNS NEED TO BE WORN

• PLEASE REMIND YOUR GUESTS THAT THEY CANNOT BRING: 

  • Noisemakers, Whistles, Airhorns, Bells, etc.

  • Balloons, Posters, and Banners

  • Glass (Vases, etc.)

  • Tobacco, Cigarettes, Vaping Paraphernalia, etc.

  • Alcohol

  • Weapons: Guns, Knives, etc.

• EVERYONE GOES THROUGH SECURITY, INCLUDING GRADUATES

• STUDENTS WHO OWE FEES OR DISRUPT THE CEREMONY WILL NOT RECEIVE THEIR DIPLOMA

Central Cabarrus High School Graduation Dress Attire

Everyone: CAP WITH TASSEL AND GOWN.

CAPS MAY NOT BE DECORATED FOR THE CEREMONY.

DRESS CODE: DRESSES AND SKIRTS

Dress: School Appropriate Dress

• Color and pattern must not be obscene, fluorescent, or be able to be seen through the gown

• Prom/party dresses and evening wear are not appropriate for graduation

• The skirt/dress must be school appropriate, not longer than your gown, not show at the top of your gown, and be no more than 3 inches above the knee

• School appropriate sleeveless dresses must have straps at least 2 inches across the shoulder

• No Strapless gowns

• Skirt/Blouse:  Business Casual—a colored skirt that follows the same criteria above and solid white dress shirt

  Shoes:  Dark colored or neutral shoes.  Sandals with a heel strap are permitted. 

• Flip Flops are NOT appropriate for graduation

• High heels are permissible, but please remember that you will be doing a lot of walking and climbing up and down stairs

 DRESS CODE: PANTS AND SHIRT

Shirt:  Plain white button-up shirt with a collar

• Polo shirts are NOT appropriate

Pants:  Solid dark or khaki dress slacks

• Cargo Pockets, Jeans, Shorts, and Other Non-Dress Pants are NOT Appropriate

• Jumpsuits and pantsuits that are longer than the gown must be solid; they cannot have pinstripes or designs lower than the gown hem

Shoes:  Solid black, navy, brown, or tan dress shoes 

• Sneakers, flip flops, sandals, boots, and other non-dress shoes are NOT appropriate for graduation

• Boat shoes are permissible if leather and un-scuffed

Socks: Designs are acceptable if worn under pants and must not be obscene

Tie: All ties, including bowties, must comply with the same appropriateness as the dress code

• Color and pattern must not be obscene, fluorescent, or be able to be seen through the gown
