GRADE 10 S2-1 CLEARS A PATH TO VICTORY as they are awarded as the overall champions of APEC Schools Ortigas Extension’s 2023 Fun Week.
This year's Fun Week came to a close with the Awarding Ceremony this Friday, February 17, 2023.
Although they lost other games, Grade 10 S2-1 set the record straight by being declared as the Overall Champions of Fun Week, followed by Grade 10 S1-2, and Grade 7 S1-1.
S2-1’s Team Captain, Princess Dimaano, led the teams for the Palarong Pinoy games. In the obstacle course, which was one of the games held in the Palarong Pinoy event, Marian Gail Mejia, the last player of the team, swept a narrow victory against rival section, Grade 10 S1-2.
Grade 10-S2-1’s very own Claire Catalan, Pauliana Colleen Raymundo, and Marian Gail Mejia spearheaded the Zumba performance, which ended with them being crowned as champions in the Zumba competition, with first and second place going to Grade 9 and Grade 11 HUMSS respectively.
The rival Grade 10 section— 10-S1-2, didn’t leave without taking home any medals, of course. They were awarded for winning the Mobile Legends Competition and Agawang Panyo game.
Meanwhile, APEC Ortigas Extension's brightest minds, Grade 7 S1-1, were announced as the winners of the CODM E-games competition.
Kadang-kadang was yet another game that was held in the Palarong Pinoy event. Grade 11 HUMSS eventually came out on top and managed to get themselves a win for this game.
However, no one else stole the show quite like Grade 12 ABM who received the Hakot Award for winning the most Palarong Pinoy games. Their team won Patintero, Sack race, and Batuhang Bola games.
Of course, it wasn’t just the hard work put into the competitions that was awarded. Take for example, Grade 09-S2-1, who was given the Most Recommendable Attendance award. Additionally, Grade 7-S1-1 was also given the Most Disciplined Section award.
The creativity and artistry of each section was also put to the test in the banner making competition, which ended with Grade 12 ABM once again coming out on top as they were announced to be the winners. They were shortly followed by Grade 10 S2-1 and Grade 11 HUMSS.
Ultimately, this celebration allowed the students to take their minds off of academics and have fun. The awarding ceremony let the students shine through and triumph together.
