Compared to when COVID-19 originally began, citizens today have more freedom when it comes to going out. A noteworthy observation is that it appears that the pandemic has become the new norm. Having said that, people today are rather more reckless with their environment. Today, Covid-19 is handled like the regular flu. As a result, the positive rate among those who have the condition is increasing.
We should be aware that Covid-19 cannot be treated with common medication or bed rest because it is not a typical flu. It is nevertheless encouraged to keep careful even though lockdowns are no longer a thing in this country and people can move wherever without many limitations.
Because Covid-19 can spread not only through direct contact with those who have it but also by contact with objects that have been handled by those who have the symptoms, it is imperative to stay away from people who may be exhibiting symptoms and to avoid touching any public objects.
Citizens are now accustomed to leaving their homes without additional safeguards like face shields and masks because lockdowns have been reduced, if not eliminated altogether. However, as a result, the virus's positivity rate has once more risen. With that said, it is highly advised that people be more cautious when leaving their houses and interacting with people from outside, especially those who lack strong immune systems. Despite the fact that it has become the new norm for this generation, it is crucial to keep in mind that Covid-19 should not be taken lightly.
The nation's positivity rate, or the percentage of people who tested positive for the coronavirus disease in 2019 (Covid-19), grew to 8.5 percent, according to recent local news reports. Dr. Guido David, an OCTA Research Group fellow, tweeted on Wednesday night that there were 382 more incidents, bringing the total to 4,086,981 according to the most recent data from the Department of Health (DOH). He stated that there are 8,252 instances that are open. According to him, there are currently 2,138 new recoveries out of the 4,012,286 recovered cases, bringing the total to 4,012,28. Fortunately, no more fatalities have been recorded. Additionally, according to DOH Officer in charge, Maria Rosario Vergeire, the positive rate nationwide rose to 7.6 percent on Tuesday from 6.9 percent the previous week. She continued by saying that today's average daily new cases were 371 as opposed to 274 last week. The World Health Organization (WHO) has set a 5% positive Covid-19 rate recommended criterion. The DOH has advised the public not to be alarmed about the rising number of Covid-19 cases because the country's healthcare infrastructure is designed to handle severe and catastrophic situations.
