Discussing Race in the Classroom
Monday evenings (7PM), January 25th through April 12th.
Recipients of this PD will be trained to discuss race and racism with their students using a variety of resources while exploring race, racism, different kinds of bias, and the ways in which bias informs viewpoints and actions. We are going to be providing the group with different readings, videos and excerpts from podcasts that will start by examining the history of race and racism in America. We will move towards creating plans for promoting an understanding of race in classrooms & community
