The Averill Park High School

Art Department

Presents

Welcome to the Averill Park High School Senior Arts Exhibition and Virtual Gallery for the 2020-2021 school year!

Although this may not be what we had hoped for, we are proud to be the art educators working with your

incredible sons and daughters; these seniors who are each so very creative and inspiring in their own ways.

Throughout the past four years we have taught them artistic techniques, varied media,

and explored art history. We have seen so much accomplished. We are lucky to have participated in the

artistic growth of these seniors.

Pablo Picasso once said “Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once

he (*or she) grows up”. Art Seniors: Where will you be in the future? What will you become?

Will you work for Pixar as an animator? Will you design video games or create massive steel

sculptures for parks? Perhaps you might design your parent’s next automobile?

Who knows what the world may bring for each of you. There are endless

opportunities awaiting every one of you. Whatever you are, whatever you decide to do,

do it well – and make us all proud.
