Congratulations to our Elementary Spotlight Artist for the month of March! Kylie attends every single art class ready to create with positive energy and a big imagination. We see her passion for art through her work and dedication to her classes. Jared's limitless imagination and enthusiasm is contagious! He has so many creative ideas in the Book and Zine Making class, it has been fun to see him translate those big ideas into stories. Congratulations to both of you!
Check back in April for our Middle School Artist Spotlight!
In the Experimental Art Class members learned about Chinese New Year celebrations and took a virtual field trip to the San Francisco Asian Art Museum. They hopped on the local train and got off at the Civic Center station and toured the museum.
Members enjoyed viewing ancient artifacts as well as contemporary art. As a culminating project they created tiger masks in celebration of the Year of the Tiger.
