SEE-LA has produced the Central Avenue Farmers’ Market since 2003. The market features a small group of farmers who sell a variety of produce as well as nuts and dried fruits. In addition to a stellar selection of farm-fresh produce, the market hosts events for children and adults including healthy cooking demonstrations through our innovative nutrition education programs, art and craft workshops, and seasonal activities for the entire community.
At Central Avenue Farmers’ Market, you can use your CalFresh EBT card and WIC checks. Additionally, we offer Market Match which doubles CalFresh up to $10 per day. Stop by the information booth to receive your extra dollars to spend at the market!

Community support enables the Food Bank to serve more than 800,000 people every month. Approximately one-quarter of our food goes to children, and roughly one-fifth ends up in the hands of older adults. It is estimated that only 10% of our food goes to the homeless, but this is an important population for us. The majority of our food goes to low-income families and individuals who sometimes struggle to make ends meet in this expensive location that we all call home.

CRDC comprehensive 360 spectrum of services support the community in all aspects, from housing to education and workforce development to job placement. We support young people and adults experiencing homelessness by providing access to housing, options for education, and training that leads to family-sustaining wages. We actively seek out and work closely with community partners to ensure resources and referrals to other key services, such as mental health services, are readily available.
