SUPERINTENDENT’S CONTRACT—ALLOCATION OF SERVICES

For the purpose of providing administrative services, Alternative Organizational School Unit 98 (AOS 98) is comprised of the following administrative units:

1. Community School District, Boothbay/Boothbay Harbor

2. Edgecomb School Department

3. Georgetown School Department

4. Southport School Department

The AOS 98 School Board shall determine annually the amount of service to be performed by the Superintendent in each administrative unit for the ensuing fiscal year. The Board shall also determine the minimum number of visits to be made by the Superintendent to each of the schools within the AOS during the school year.

In addition, the AOS 98 Board shall determine annually the percentage of costs to be paid by each unit, including costs for the Superintendent’s services and for his/her office, office assistants, supplies, utilities, and other office expenses. In determining the arrangements for sharing costs, the AOS 98 Board may consider the number of students in each administrative unit, the number of residents in each town in the unit, the property valuation of each town served by the AOS, number of staff in each administrative unit and such other factors that may deemed relevant by the AOS 98 School Board.

As approved by the AOS 98 School Board, the amount of service to be performed by the Superintendent in each administrative unit for the Fiscal Year 2020 shall be:

1. Community School District, Boothbay/Boothbay Harbor – 57.87%

2. Edgecomb School Department – 21.13%

3. Georgetown School Department – 14.78%

4. Southport School Department – 6.22%

The percentage of costs to be paid by each administrative unit for the Superintendent’s services for the Fiscal Year 2020 shall be:

1. Community School District, Boothbay/Boothbay Harbor – 57.87%

2. Edgecomb School Department – 21.13%

3. Georgetown School Department – 14.78%

4. Southport School Department – 6.22%

AND The percentage of costs to be paid by each administrative unit for costs associated with the Superintendent’s office, office assistants, supplies, utilities, and other office expenses shall be:

1. Community School District, Boothbay/Boothbay Harbor – 57.87%

2. Edgecomb School Department – 21.13%

3. Georgetown School Department – 14.78%

4. Southport School Department – 6.22%

The percentage of costs to be paid by each administrative unit for the Superintendent’s services for the Fiscal Year 2020 shall be:

1. Community School District, Boothbay/Boothbay Harbor – 57.87%

2. Edgecomb School Department – 21.13%

3. Georgetown School Department – 14.78%

4. Southport School Department – 6.22%

The allocation of Superintendent’s services and costs shall be reflected in the Written Plan of Cost Sharing form submitted annually to the Commissioner with the Superintendent’s Certificate of Employment. The Written Plan shall be formally adopted by majority, weighted vote of those members of the AOS 98 present.
