STUDENT ASSISTANCE TEAMS

Mission Statement

The Boothbay Region Schools' Student Assistance Teams are a group of individuals dedicated to creating the best possible educational environment for all students. The teams assist by assessing student needs, developing and evaluating different intervention strategies, referring students for additional help and coordinating student services. Through this process students are encouraged to create goals and develop skills that affirm their personal dignity.

Confidentiality Statement

The Boothbay Region Schools Student Assistance Teams acknowledge the importance of confidentiality in that information should be shared on a need to know basis in an attempt to provide the best possible services for students. The Student Assistance Teams will obtain permission for the release of information from students and parents when appropriate.

Boothbay Region Elementary School and Boothbay Region High School each have at least one Student Assistance Team per building. The specific procedures for referral and forms to be used are defined in each building and with each team.
