PART-TIME AND SUBSTITUTE PROFESSIONAL STAFF EMPLOYMENT

It is the policy of the School Committee to provide a substitute teacher, when possible, for any contractual staff member who is absent.

The superintendent is directed to recruit substitute teachers as a part of the overall recruitment process.

Substitutes will be required to complete the CSD's substitute training program prior to their assignment, when possible, and to maintain their status on the substitute list.

Substitutes do not receive fringe benefits.
