BUDGET IMPLEMENTATION

A system of fiscal control shall be established to govern the administration of the budget and the expenditure of funds. The superintendent shall not permit expenditures of funds to exceed the major budget classification allowance against which the proposed expenditure is the proper charge. The superintendent shall set up and operate budget controls. He/she shall administer the budget in conformity with legal requirements and the policies of the School Committee. The superintendent shall ascertain that all expenditures recommended for approval are legal expenditures.
