ABOUT ME
"Courage starts with showing up and letting ourselves be seen." - Brené Brown
I received my Bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri and am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology at the University of Missouri–Kansas City (UMKC). I seek to create a warm, safe space for clients to grow and become empowered on their pathway to healing. I have worked in partnership alongside a diverse range of clientele on their mental health journeys, specializing in anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), depression and trauma among other areas.
I use a trauma-informed, multiculturally competent Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) approach in counseling, with a focus on each individual’s personal values systems and the power of self-compassion for each of my clients. I aim to cultivate a safe, accepting, and warm environment backed by evidence-based treatment in partnering with my clients, as they realize their own strength and are empowered in their recovery.
