Students can sign up for Semester-Long or Year-Long courses.
Classes are taught in ENGLISH by a teacher who lives in Hawaiʻi, has a Hawaiʻi Teaching License and is Highly-qualified in the area of the courses they teach. Many of the kumu are current Hawaiʻi public school teachers.
Most of the classes are for 9-12 graders. There are a few for 6-7-8 graders.
Students must be able to do the work for these classes on their own at home. (No in-school time will be given)
Please take a look at E-Schoolʻs program policies: Nā Kulekele Papahana E-School (E-School Program Policies)

Take the E-School readiness quiz to see if you are mākaukau: Mākaukau no E-School (Are you ready)?
E-School courses are free during the school year. Summer school classes have a regular summer school fee.
As Kaiapuni students, our Ānuenue students should concentrate on taking E-School courses that they cannot take in Hawaiian here at Ānuenue.
Remember that whatever course the student chooses, he/she must be ready to do the work independently. Students communicate with the E-School teacher through e-mail or by phone/zoom/webex during the teacher's office hours.
We would suggest the following courses for 9-12 grade students:
English Courses like: Expository Writing 1
Social Studies Courses like: Psychology, Ethnic Studies, Economics.
Math Courses for students who are strong in math or who would like to repeat a course for extra practice: Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2.
Electives like: French, Spanish, Chinese. Please note that these are year courses, so the student needs to stay engaged for the whole 10 months.
You can see a listing of possible school courses here: E-School Courses. You may need to filter the courses by year or semester.
