D33Light: Illuminating Artivism for Social Justice
D33Light embodies my philosophy of infusing light and positivity into life, advocating for self-care and healing through art. As an artist working with mixed media and public installations, my creations draw inspiration from travel, dance, and yoga experiences, influenced by traditional Indian culture, realism, and serialism.
In my recent work, I concentrate on social justice, specifically climate justice and racial justice, portraying individuals of color through mixed media and graphite on paper. Recognizing the importance of identity formation for my biracial children (Blindian - Black and Indian), I am committed to showcasing BIPOC individuals, underlining the significance of representation.
My South-Asian immigrant background shapes my narrative, fueling my passion for art, movement, and creativity. D33Light stands as a visual call for positive change, lighting a path toward a brighter, more equitable future.
