Welcome!

I am so happy you're here! My name is Jamie Gayler, and I am honored to serve as the Intermediate School Counselor at Alvord ISD.

I have more than 20 years of experience in education and have proudly spent my entire career serving the students and families of Alvord ISD. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working as a classroom teacher, educational diagnostician, assistant principal, and now school counselor. Alvord holds a special place in my heart because my husband, our two daughters, and I are all proud Alvord ISD alumni.

My passion is helping students grow academically, socially, and emotionally while creating a safe, supportive environment where every child feels valued, connected, and empowered to succeed.

My goal as the Intermediate School Counselor is to partner with students, families, teachers, and our community to ensure every student develops the confidence, resilience, character, and skills needed to reach their full potential. Whether a student needs encouragement, someone to listen, help navigating friendships, or support through life's challenges, I am here to help.

I am excited to work alongside our students and families and look forward to an amazing school year!
