Workshop Focus

In a recent survey, we asked the community the following questions, which will guide the organization of this workshop:
1. What is your definition of mechanical intelligence?

What is one example of mechanical intelligence in your research and/or outside of your research?

What are effective metrics for quantifying mechanical intelligence?

How can we quantify the extent to which mechanical intelligence offsets computational intelligence?

Is interdisciplinary research useful for studying/developing mechanical intelligence?

This event will bring together leaders in robotics, materials, neuroscience, physics, applied mathematics, and information technology from around the country to discuss challenges, future directions, and quantification in mechanically intelligent systems.
