Abstract: Milli-scale robotic systems enables to easily create and realize the unconventional motions we imagine. To directly employ design methodologies of conventional robots, however, it is challenging in terms of structures, actuators, materials, etc. In this talk, I will introduce unconventional motions such as long-distance manipulation and bio-inspired locomotion by suggesting proper designs that are fit for milli-scale systems.
