Our Mission

The Steel City Analysis Network (SCAN) aims to create a center for the study of the Pittsburgh regional economy. This site is the home of SCAN. On this website, you will find the latest data for the Pittsburgh region (Dashboard), summaries about the Pittsburgh region (The Region), in-depth topic investigations (Analysis), and a summary of our methodology (Methods).

SCAN is staffed by students from the Tepper Undergraduate Programs. Have a look at the About Us page for more information.
