Hello. I am Ruiyu Han. Starting August 2026, I will be a  J.J. Sylvester Assistant Professor (postdoc) in the Department of Mathematics at Johns Hopkins University, mentored by Prof. Fei Lu and Prof. Mauro Maggioni.

In May 2025, I completed my PhD in mathematics at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU), where I am fortunate to be advised by Prof. Dejan Slepčev and Prof. Gautam Iyer; I also worked closely with Prof. Johannes Wiesel at the University of Copenhagen.  I did my undergraduate degree at Beijing Normal University.

I am broadly interested in applied analysis. My research uses tools mainly from PDE and optimal transport to solve problems arising from data science.
