Inclusion@RSS 2021
The Robotics: Science and Systems community is committed to increasing the participation of groups traditionally underrepresented in robotics (including but not limited to: women, LGBTQ+, underrepresented minorities, first-generation college students, and people with disabilities), especially people early in their studies and career.
The primary goal of the 2021 Inclusion@RSS is to increase the number of new conference participants from groups traditionally underrepresented in robotics. Fellowships will be awarded to selected BSc, MSc, and first and second year PhD students. Priority will be given to students who have not previously attended RSS and/or are new to the robotics research community.
Description of Programs
Registration and other fees will be waived for accepted inclusion fellows. Fellows will have opportunities to interact both with their cohort as well as leaders in robotics through a variety of sessions before and during the conference. Besides panel discussions, fellows will also be matched to a mentor based upon general interest area in robotics. Inclusion fellows will also receive tips and advice for making the most of (virtual) conference attendance to support those attending an international robotics conference for the first time.
