I am an Associate Professor of Economics at Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar.
My research focuses on various topics within Applied Microeconomics. I am especially interested in how individuals respond and adapt to the challenges posed by climate change. In addition, I study human behavior in competitive environments, exploring the psychological and strategic dimensions of contests.
I was previously a Junior Professional Associate at The World Bank. I was also an Adjunct Professor in microeconomics at Baruch College as well as Research Fellow for Lev Manovich at the Cultural Analytics Lab. I also served as Visiting Faculty at Strelka Institute for The New Normal postgraduate program. I have been a consultant at IBM and The World Bank.
