Black and Gold
An Oral History Project
This project evolved after speaking with some teachers whom I consider to be Hanna icons. These teachers are retiring* this year, and I felt that their memories of Hanna would leave with them. The idea took on a life of its own as my speech class started to contact former principals, teachers, and guidance counselors. The purpose was to preserve memories of Hanna's days gone by. We ended up interviewing and recording twenty-three interviews which we hope you enjoy.
I would like to especially thank Keith White for teaching my students and me how to edit videos and for providing equipment for us to use.
*Please note that Betsy Good, Anne Harder, Kathy Moore, John Rogers, and Kris Turner are NOT retiring at this time.
