Mrs. Watkins

Hi, I'm Mrs. Watkins! I truly can’t believe that this will be my 20th year teaching special education and I am excited to begin my 13th year at Midway! I grew up outside of Atlanta, Georgia, but have lived in the upstate for the last 25 years. I received my degree is Special Education from Presbyterian College in 2006. I later went on to receive my master’s degree from Anderson University. My husband, Corey, and I just celebrated our 16th wedding anniversary. We have two children, Brooks and Carlie. They will both be at Glenview Middle School this year. Our family has one dog, named Hunter, who is old and lazy!! When I’m not at the baseball field, I love to spend time with my family, explore outside, and cheer on the Atlanta Braves and the Clemson Tigers!

I am blessed to begin year four of working with my incredible assistant, Misty Martin. She really is the glue that holds our classroom together. She helps our day run smoothly and I am beyond grateful for her! I am also excited to have Miss Emily back with us again this year as a teaching assistant. Emily completed her job training in our classroom 3 years ago and we refuse to let her leave!

 I look forward to a new school year and truly believe that this will be the best year yet!
