2024 Dressage World Breeding Championship for Young Dressage Horses
- Ermelo, Holland -
2024 PRE Team
Training Sessions
Within 48 hours, the 2024 Longines FEI/WBFSH Dressage World Breeding Championship for Young Dressage Horses will begin, which coincides with the event’s Silver Jubilee. For the seventh time, the venue for this prestigious international is the National Equestrian Center in the town of Ermelo, in the province of Guelders, in the Netherlands. The best and the most talented Dressage horses will compete in the categories for five, six and seven year old horses.
All in all, 136 pairs will compete at this championship. Among these are the eleven pairs on the PRE Horses team, previously selected by trainer Jose Daniel Martín Dockx. Today, the team will travel to the KNHS stables that the Dutch Equestrian Federation has in Ermelo. There, horses and riders will settle in and prepare for the initial veterinarian inspections tomorrow morning.
The most recent PRE-Team encounter was held in Mol (Belgium), at the Begijnhoeve Dressage Horses facilities, where riders worked hard with the trainer for four days. On the days prior to the actual championship, riders and the technicians have time to share their experiences, excitement and fellowship. Jose Juan Morales, President of ANCCE, will also join the team to encourage and accompany them as they prepare for Ermelo, where the long-awaited championship will be held.

This year, ANCCE has introduced a significant novelty in terms of sportswear and equipment: These new saddle pads have been personalized with the breed acronym and national flag colors. Manufactured by Equitex, the pad is made of high-quality cold foam that absorbs 84% of the pressure exerted by the rider, thus providing the horses with greater comfort. Moreover, there is an innovative silicone grip at the top, which eliminates the need to use straps to attach the saddle pad to the saddle. This improvement optimizes efficiency and comfort while training and competing.
Competitions begin at 9:30 am on Wednesday, the 4th of September. Watch it live at ClipMyHorse.TV

ANCCE greatly appreciates the determination of all those involved in the PRE Team selection process: breeders, riders and grooms. Our acknowledgments also go to Spain’s Royal Equestrian Federation, as well as trainer Jose Daniel Martin Dockx for his dedication and efforts.
We wish all PRE pairs competing at the 2024 Dressage World Breeding Championship for Young Horses the very best!
