• Skin images you upload for consultation and monitoring.

• Your responses to the Dermatology Life Quality Index (DLQI) and Patient-Oriented Eczema Measure (POEM) questionnaires, available in Hindi and English.

• Any other health-related information you voluntarily provide.

c. Usage Data

• Your interactions with the in-app AI chatbot.

• Your reminder preferences and app usage statistics for functionality improvement.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information solely for the following purposes:

• To facilitate and enable your consultation with dermatologists.

• To allow doctors to diagnose, treat, and monitor your skin condition.

• To send you personalized reminders and relevant health information.

• To improve our app's functionality and user experience using anonymized and aggregated data that cannot identify you.

4. Data Security

We implement robust security measures to protect your data:

• Encryption: All your data is encrypted during transmission 

• Access Controls: Strict access controls are enforced:

  • You can only see your own data.

  • Doctors can only see the data of their patients.

  • Administrators have minimal, necessary access only for system maintenance.

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell or rent your personal or health data. We may share data only in the following scenarios:

• With trusted healthcare providers (dermatologists) you have chosen to consult with, under strict confidentiality.

• With trusted service providers who assist us in operating the App, under strict contractual obligations of confidentiality and data protection.

• If required by law, regulation, or legal process.

• In the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, with notice to users.

AI Chatbot & Third Parties:

• Your raw, identifiable data (e.g., name, images) is never sent to any third-party AI system.

• Any data used for the AI chatbot is first anonymized to remove all personal identifiers.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to provide you with services or as required by Indian law. You can request the deletion of your account and associated data at any time.

7. Your Rights Under the DPDP Act, 2023

In accordance with the law, you have the right to:

• Erasure (deletion) of your personal data.

• Withdraw Consent at any time, stopping us from further processing your data.

DermaAmrita is intended for use by individuals seeking dermatological care and is not designed for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

This app is a tool for dermatological support and is not a substitute for a professional medical diagnosis. While we implement robust security, no electronic transmission or storage system can be 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security against unauthorized access.
