Snow Sports

November 17, 2020 Update- Due to COVID and receiving club information so late from Boston Mills/Brandywine, there will not be a ski club this year.

We don't know about you, but we are looking forward to a great snowsports season this winter! The prediction is a lot of snow and cold, perfect for enjoying Brandywine. Below is all of the information you will need to get started.

Two general meetings are scheduled for anyone who has never joined our club before or anyone who questions and wants to pay for the bus.

Monday, November 4 in the Nord Cafeteria at 7 pm.

Wednesday, November 6 at AJH from 3-4:30pm.

The cost this year is as follows: $269.05. Our club fee is $66 for bussing and t-shirt. $203.05 is paid online to Brandywine.

There is only one price for Brandywine plus our club fee. This price gets you a lift ticket (on Wednesdays until the season ends), rental (if needed), and four $10 passes to return on a different day and/or bring a family member to ski with you on Wednesdays.

The club fee is the cost of transportation plus the official Amherst Snow Sports shirt for 2020.

  • MUST PAY CLUB FEE of $66 to join your school's Google Classroom . In Google Classroom all forms and sign off pages can be found along with information to sign up with Brandywine.

  • Amherst Snowsports club fee payable to “Amherst EV Schools”

  • Ski dates: Wednesday, January 15, 22, 29 and February 5 and 12, 2020. (Makeup due to no school only following Wednesdays)

  • Departure from school: 3:00pm

  • Departure from BW: 8:00pm

  • Arrival at school: 8:45-9:00pm

When is it all due?

Paperwork and payment is due by the end of school Friday, November 22nd. At that point, we'll see where we stand in regards to numbers and see if we need to extend the deadline.

Rules

No school that day, no snow sports. (Members may still go to BMBW and take lessons, but no transportation will be provided.)

Additional rules and regulations are found here. It is your responsibility to look these over.

Reminder

Club members are given a permanent Club Card for the season which serves as their admission onto the snow and is used to get rental equipment (if their package includes it.) The Club Cards are valid only for the 4-hour session and designated day that we are signed up for.

Keeping track of your Club Card is your responsibility! (Nord and AJH will hold cards each week until the fifth session.)

If requested, an advisor will hold your card for you week to week. Lost Club Cards are replaced very rarely, and never without an advisor or after the fifth club visit and will require a fee of $25, paid by the student.
