ERGONOMICS
Ergonomics is important part of occupational health for general industry; applying to heavy manufacturing, light industrial and professional office environments. AM H&S provides a number of services to reduce back injuries and cumulative trauma disorders, reduce medical and workers' compensation costs and increase employee morale and productivity such as:
Records review and analysis of injury and illness trends
Workplace analysis to identify ergonomic exposures
In-depth ergonomic job analysis to identify risk factors
Ergonomic education programs
Development and implementation of prevention and control measures to reduce injuries and illnesses caused by overexertion and repetitive motion
Preventing musculoskeletal injuries, nutrition and fatigue management training
Fatigue risk management plan, meets PHMSA Regulations 195.446(e)(5)
Organization and facilitation of ergonomic committees
Compliance with OSHA's proposed ergonomic standard
AM Health and Safety’s certified industrial hygienists (CIHs) and certified professional ergonomist (CPE) are involved in all aspects of the ergonomic projects. Through a special partnering arrangement, AM H&S, when required or necessary, utilizes the resources of Marc Turina, MPT, CPE, founder/owner of ErgoSmart Consultants to assist on ergonomic issues. Mr. Turina has well over 15 years’ experience with a proven record of results at the local, national, and global levels.
