Whitesboro, New York
Originally not from New England, but once I got here I knew there was no other place I could call home. I spent my falls and winters growing up attending Syracuse football and basketball games.
Yes I am from New York, no I lived no where near New York City! I actually live closer to the city now than when I lived in New York.
For undergrad I attended Assumption College in Worcester, Mass. At Assumption I received a BS in Biology. During this time I also played soccer at Assumption as the goalkeeper.
For my first Master's I went to Concordia University to get a M.Ed in curriculum and instruction. I am now currently attending Gordon University getting an M.Ed in Science
Some of the hobbies that I enjoy doing are:
Chasing after my little guy Dustin
Coed indoor soccer
Running (have participated in several 5ks/10ks and a half marathon
Hiking
Reading
Harry Potter
Marvel
Shockingly growing up science was one of my least favorite subjects. However, when I was a senior in high school this all changed. I truly enjoy each of my topics and love watching what I teach occur. I enjoy watching students become thinkers. Majoring in science there were several situations where we had to fail to succeed. I aim to push students to this understanding.
Over the years at Amesbury I have been lucky enough to teach every grade of science! I would have to say though that one of my favorite topics would have to be Newton's Laws of Motion!
If I had to pick one thing as my favorite part of Amesbury Middle School is the community. We as a whole are a team, both as the blue team and as a school. I truly love coming into school and seeing everyone there.
I have a lovely two year old who keeps me busy! He and I live in Seabrook with my husband, who is also a teacher in the Amesbury School district.
