This year's summer school was blessed with good weather, and we were able to carry out all the planned events. Regarding the implementation of the event, we decided that the school staff alone was not enough to put the safety of children first, so we called on parents to participate in volunteering. I think it was a very happy thing for the children to volunteer for parents to participate in the summer school. You can clearly see the happy faces of the children in each experience activities, such as Okinawa soba made with parents, Mt. Ishikawa, which was pulled by their mother and father, and bathing in the sea with their mothers. I think it was a very good memory.

Finally, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the teachers who participated in the special classes of this summer school as instructors. Thanks to you, the children were able to learn a lot and spend a fulfilling time. I believe that this learning and experience is valuable for the second semester or future. Thank you very much.

Sea bathing & beach barbecue

On Friday, August 8, the last big event of the summer school, sea bathing and beach barbecue, were held. The children enjoyed swimming in the sea regardless of the heat. In addition, many parents and volunteers participated this time, and they did everything from children's safety management, barbecue preparation, cooking, drink preparation, and cleaning up. It was really helpful. I was filled with gratitude that the AASO was a school supported by parents and related parties. Thank you very much.

I went swimming in the sea three times this year. I went to the sea twice in the morning, but the children followed the rules and enjoyed swimming in the sea while rehydrating frequently. I was watching the children from the beach, and I was secretly moved by the amazing children in AASO.

I enjoyed the barbecue after the second sea bath. It was a standard menu of beef, wieners, vegetables, and yakisoba, but the children were eating it with their fill while saying "delicious". This time, the barbecue was set up very well, and the preparation and cooking were done faster than planned. Parents and staff, thank you very much for your hard work.

After the third sea bath, I picked up the garbage around the used tent with the motto "prettier than when I came". And finally, we held the closing ceremony. The children applauded their gratitude to their parents and staff, and applauded their friends and themselves for all three weeks.
