Through the delivery of the comprehensive school counseling program, all students will be equipped with academic, career, and personal/social skills that will empower them to become exemplary citizens, forward thinking, innovative, and future ready.
To collaborate with staff, parents, and community partners to provide all students access to equitable and culturally responsive services that remove academic, career, and social-emotional barriers, inspiring life-long learners to achieve their greatest potential.
Parents must be notified annually regarding the academic and career guidance and personal/social counseling programs which are available to their children. The notification must include the purpose and general description of the programs, information regarding ways parents may review materials to be used in guidance and counseling programs at their child's school and information about the procedures by which parents may limit their child's participation in such programs. 8 VAC 20-620-10.
