At Amana Academy, there are a variety of ways to get your child to and from school.
Amana is funded for 2 school buses, each of which picks up and drops off from two centrally-located stops in North Fulton. Because we usually have more interest in bus service than there are seats available, we hold a lottery for the available bus seats every year. This bus lottery takes place over the summer. For more information on the lottery, and bus stops and route times, click below.
Amana is provided with two buses each year from Fulton County, and as such, we have limited seats. If you are interested in the Bus Lottery, please fill out this form by Sunday, June 7th at 11:59pm.
Bus transportation starts on the first day of school and is available to those families who complete the application form AND whose children are selected in the bus lottery.
Amana's Bus Lottery will take place on Friday, June 12th. You will be informed of the bus lottery selections then.
The majority of our families drive their children or carpool with other families to get students to and from school. You will have opportunities to connect with families in your geographic region through our small community groups. More information will be shared at our Information Sessions - please see our calendar for your child's scheduled session.
There are a number of local day cares that provide transportation to and from Amana every day. Check with your local day care providers to see if Amana is on their route. There are also a few private van and bus transportation companies that bring students to and from school daily. You can reach out to our PTO (Parent Teacher Organization) at amanaparents@gmail.com for a list of private vans.
Middle School students (grades 6, 7 & 8), may be allowed to leave the school as a walker with parent permission. These students may either walk home, or be picked up on the parking lot of the school, however they should not be left unattended on Amana property for longer than 1 hour. Elementary Students are not permitted to leave the school as "walkers". For more information, and to apply for this mode of transportation, email info@amanaacademy.org.
