Poster Competition
Each Participating School is Encouraged to Have a School-Wide Poster Design Competition
Help the students and families engage with Walk to School Week through a poster competition. Alwoodley 2030 will print 20 signs to be hung along key routes. We encourage schools to engage students in a poster competition and select the winning poster to be hung along key routes to your school. Send the winning poster on this template to walktoschoolweek@alwoodley2030.org by 18th April along with guidance on where you'd like to have the posters hung. We'll print 15 posters per school and hang them along key walk/cycle/scoot routes to your school.
Use these slides to help students design posters. Teachers can adapt these slides so that every student has a chance to create one OR your eco-committee or student council can create the posters themselves. The school wide approach will help build awareness and engagement with walk to school week so we do encourage that if at all possible. Note key info that must be on posters is on slide 12.
