I'm so excited to be back teaching students this year after 2 years as the Advanced Academics Specialist here at Rodeo Palms Junior High. I'm still in that position, but will be teaching 6th grade STEM Humanities and I can't wait to get started! I've been teaching for 21 years, with 20 of them in Alvin ISD, mostly as a junior high ELA teacher, that's reading and writing!
I'm from Louisiana, but moved to Texas when I married a Texan 20 years ago. He's a TEXAN and I'm a SAINT...of the New Orleans Saints! I have a daughter and a 4 year old grandson and a granddaughter on the way in January.
My Bachelor of Arts from Northwestern State University is in English Education, which I earned in 1999. I also attended the University of New Orleans for one semester to complete my bachelor's degree.
