Fees & Fines List

Having unpaid fees and/or fines can result in participation being revoked for senior events such as prom, graduation, etc. These fees/fines have 'followed you' through your high school career- missing library books, art class, athletics, senior class, parking tickets, etc.

To find out if you are on the fees and/or fine list please contact Lynn Williams at lrwilliams@alvinisd.net (SCHS bookkeeper)

*Note- Prom tickets will NOT be sold to you (or to someone else buying for you) if your name is on the fees/fine list.

Project Graduation Grad Night!

Get excited for SCHS’s First Annual Grad Night!!

Because this will be SCHS’s first Grad Night, we’ve complied some FAQs for you!

1. What is Grad Night?

Grad Night is a tradition at many high schools across the nation. It typically occurs the night after graduation, and is a lock-in, all-night celebration for the just-graduated seniors. It is a safe, fun, drug- and alcohol-free event. The event has the full support of the SCHS administration.

2. Who puts on Grad Night?

SCHS’s Grad Night is being hosted by the Shark Senior Experience Booster Club. This club was created in 2019 in hopes of having a Grad Night for the the class of 2020. Of course that did not happen! The club works closely with the school to arrange and promote Grad Night, as well as the fundraisers needed to host the event.

3. Where and When is Grad Night?

Grad Night will be May 27, 11:30pm - 6:00am. This follows the scheduled SCHS graduation on May 27. If weather delays the graduation to May 29, Grad Night will still occur on May 27. This year’s Grad Night will be at Dave & Busters in Baybrook Mall. The entire venue has been rented for our seniors. They will close early that night so that only our seniors will be there. No alcohol sales are permitted during Grad Night.

4. What do the kids do during Grad Night?

Have fun!! They will have the run of Dave & Busters all night! Food will be provided, and all the kids get game cards for a certain amount of games. A separate, supervised area will be set up for students who may need some quiet or down time during the event.

5. What is the budget, and how much will tickets be?

The cost of the venue is just over $14,000. We have raised a little over $5,000. We have several fundraisers active and upcoming. All money raised by fundraisers will benefit students by lowering ticket sales. Ticket will go on sale closer to the event. The more successful the fundraising and the more students that come, the lower the tickets will be! Any remaining funds will be given to the next class to jump start their Grad Night.

6. What if COVID is still a significant issue?

There is a COVID clause in our contract with Dave & Busters that will allow us to cancel the contract if state and/or local regulations prohibit gatherings. If that happens, the funds will be used to celebrate the seniors in another way!

7. How can I help?

Students - start spreading the word about Grad Night, keep and eye out on Google Classroom, Skyward, and in announcements for info on Grad Night and fundraisers - the more you raise, the lower your tickets will be! Follow us on Twitter (@Gradschs) and retweet to all your friends and family. Share the Grad Night posters with friends on social media!

Parents - follow us on Twitter (@Gradschs), join the Booster club (Shark Senior Experience Booster Club on Facebook), and share info about fundraisers with friends and family! We’ll definitely need parents help and chaperones when it comes to the event itself!

All, share our PayPal donation link with any friends and family that might want to help out. We are a 501c3 organization and all donations are tax-deductible.
