This calculator is a built-in option in the STAAR EOC exam in Algebra 1 as well as the online SAT administration.
Graphing Calculators (TI nspire CX & CX II) will be used in this class. They are NOT required; however, graphing calculators are a smart investment for use in several math classes from this grade level on thru college. All high school math classes beginning in Algebra I will use the TI Inspire CX or CXII. If you do not have your own, a graphing calculator will be provided for in-class use.

If you are interested in purchasing a calculator other than the TI Nspire CX, please note the following message from the Texas Education Agency in regards to the models allowed on the State of Texas Algebra End of Course Exam.**
"Calculators that have a computer algebra system (CAS) are NOT allowed. Electronic devices that provide access to the Internet, have photographic capabilities, or have a calculator as an application are also not allowed."
**College Board SAT and AP exams however will allow for any TI Nspire CX or CAS device.
ACT will allow only the TI Nspire CX
