About Me
My name is Meagan Gormly. I am a lifetime resident of Alvin, TX. I attended Alvin Primary School as a child and graduated from Alvin High School in 1995, which makes me 44. During my college career at the University of Houston, I decided to make my love of learning my occupation and earned my degree in Elementary Education. The first 8 years of my career was spent in Alief ISD teaching first grade. I came back home, in 2007, to Alvin ISD and just completed my 14th year here. I am excited to start my 23rd year of teaching!!! I have taught both first and second grades. This year will be my 5th year as a Special Ed Resource Teacher. I have also started graduate school to further my education and earn my master's degree to become a educational dianostician. I am married and have two boys: Harrison who is 15 and Graham who is 12. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. During my years at the University of Houston I was a member of the marching band; so come football season I'm following my COOGS! I enjoy exercising . I also taught my self to crochet a couple of summers ago, I always have a project. My family also enjoys RVing and seeing different parts of Texas. My oldest son, Harrison, in involved with the AHS band, loves to ride his four wheeler, and fix engines. Graham is my athletic son who plays baseball and is a bowler.
