Welcome Stevenson Stars!

Hi, this is my tenth year as the school counselor at R. L. Stevenson Primary. I am looking forward to welcoming our returning students as well as meeting our new incoming students to Stevenson. Our school theme for this year is the "Wild Wild Best".

There are so many new and exciting things to come and I hope that you are excited and ready to get started. This year, my guidance curriculum will focus on lessons from the Core Essential and Second Step programs. These two programs are centered on social-emotional development and academic success. In addition, extra lessons will be provided through literature dealing with character traits.

I also provide small group and individual counseling for students who may need extra support. The referral process can be made by teachers, parents and/or guardians. Some topics include Seeing RED for anger management, Gone but NOT Forgotten, for grief, K.I.M.--Kids Caught in the Middle for issues with divorce, separation, or blended families.
