MiKiyta Stepney

This is my fourth school year in Alvin ISD and my 1st year at Alvin High School. I am a proud native of Missouri City, Texas. I have a Bachelor's degree from the University of Houston-Downtown and a Master's degree from THE University of Oklahoma (BOOMER SOONER). My certification is in Special Education EC-12. Prior to me coming to Alvin ISD, I was an Early Childhood Social Worker in another district, and a state Child Welfare Specialist in Oklahoma. Advocating for children and parents is the cornerstone and framework of my professional career. I am a member of HAABSE (Houston Area Alliance of Black School Educators), Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, INC, and giving donor to Alvin ISD Education Foundation. I am a proud mother of 3 beautiful children who bring joy and nurture to my life. I am last but certainly not least, the Head Girls Track and Field Coach. Coaching is my ministry, and I'm forever grateful God has allowed me to use it as a gift to others.

I had a beautiful Harlequin Great Dane who passed away 06/27/22.
