OVERVIEW
SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) is an extension-to-web mobile application aimed at Business users to consume data dashboards on the go.
An increase in demand for Android made it strategically important to have the presence of SAC on both platforms iOS & Android. I contributed as a sole designer throughout the process and designed SAC for the android platform.
The outcome was 2 primary app sections, Home and Files for the user to start using the app along with supporting features such as Settings, Profile, Search etc.

DESIGN SOLUTION
The iOS and Android app are an extension of SAP Analytics Cloud desktop for viewers on their mobile devices. Users can consume their desktop analytical dashboards from their mobile devices and can be viewed anywhere. Giving viewers the most recent and relevant information about their business on the go
What I did
As the UX designer for Android, I designed and managed the Android app from the ground up. I worked with Product Experts, UX lead across different teams around the globe to define how to take the already built SAP Analytics Cloud iOS platform and scale it to Android mobile devices.
Throughout the start of building the Android app, we worked with several customers to validate and gain insight into how they expected their data to translate down and work on the go.
Goals
Consistancy
iOS app is already well placed and android needed to be aligned with iOS.
Fiori Aligned
Android app needs to accomodate current Fiori guidelines updates.
Complexity Involved
Limited design patterns
Fiori is a general design guideline and is not always scalable for products such as analytics.
Hence, providing solutions as close to Fiori and deviating only when absolute necessity was a big challenge.
