Hi, I’m Bikash Kumar
Welcome to my personal corner on the web!
I’m a recent Project Assistant-I at IIT Gandhinagar (Electrical Engineering) & Remote Research Intern (TIME@ARC Hub & Griffith University). My work focuses on understanding human motion using pose data, unsupervised learning techniques, and spatio-temporal modeling.
Feel free to explore my research projects, interests, and ongoing work.
About Me
I hold a Master’s degree in Physics from IIT Gandhinagar, where I transitioned into the field of computer vision through hands-on research and project experience.
Over the past year, I’ve worked on various problems involving pose-based action recognition, unsupervised motion segmentation, and graph neural networks for human activity understanding. My passion lies in developing models that learn from minimal supervision and make sense of complex visual dynamics, especially in sports and human-centric videos.
Currently, my research is expanding into multimodal learning, with a focus on exploring vision-language models for action captioning and developing specialized large-scale datasets centered on biomechanical phases in throwing sports.
♨️I am actively looking for PhD positions where I can contribute and grow as a researcher in computer vision.
