Our lab explores the intersection of engineering, biology, and sustainability. We study marine renewable energy harvesting, animal locomotion, bioinspired robotics, and biogenic mixing. By uncovering the fluid dynamics and movement strategies of aquatic organisms, we design innovative systems that advance renewable energy technologies, develop next-generation robotic platforms, and reveal how biological processes shape ocean dynamics and ecosystem function.
