Science and Educational Enrichment
The students in 5th grade B built an ultrasonic distance-measuring robot using the Lego Spike kit. They worked in mixed groups of four to build, program, test, and present their robotic warehouse.
First, we accessed the School 4.0 website. There we found all the information. We completed Unit 79 (UD182).
Then, we answered a question about the laser sensor versus infrared light. We learned that the ultrasonic distance meter moves in a square pattern.
Next, we programmed the distance meter. We had to adjust the distance at which it detects an object.
Finally, we prepared a presentation and recorded a video.
It was a great project, and I enjoyed working with my friends.
